First thing first! We must paint the bunny white with chalk paint or handy craft paint so that the pink doesn't show thru our masterpiece!
Who would have ever thought that these napkins were 2-ply??? You will need to pull the 2 layers apart so that the mod podge will stick to the top layer with the print on it better.
Now put a little blanket over the bunny with the napkin as see where you want the best design of the napkin to be. In this case I cut the edges off because there just complicated the look I was trying to achieve.
Exciting stuff here! I am in love with the chinoiserie movement. And anytime I can add a little change to something to made it my own, then by George I am gonna do it! Here I have taken the traditional and added it to a few plastic Dollar Tree Store items.
He is cute isn’t he, but let paint him white first so that the pink doesn’t show through.
Who would have ever thought these napkins were 2-ply? Gently peel the layers apart so that the mod podge will stick to the printed side of the napkin.
Center up the design that you want.
Apply the mod podge to the plastic bunny. Place the napkin over top and apply the mod podge over the napkin on top of the bunny also.
I’m in LOVE!!!! Didn’t take long to do and the reward is huge!! Enjoy and drop me a line with any questions or send a pic of how yours turned out!!! www.vintageandcrafty.com
